Appearance: Medium intensity with a medium/deep ruby core with a narrow medium ruby rim and long tinted legs.
Nose: Intense aromas of a blackcurrant and blackberry nature (Pure Ribena!), complex oak derived aromas of coconut and vanilla and spice notes of black pepper.
Palate: A full bodied wine with medium levels of acidity and ripe, mouthcoating tannins. A complex, multilayered wine from an exceptional vintage with concentrated black fruit aromas of blackcurrant and blackberries which are very well integrated with the oak elements of vanilla and coconut with a spicy black pepper finish.
Conclusion: Due to the quality of the fruit from this historical vintage, the wine can be consumed now but will keep on evolving for a further 10+ years.
