In 2001 around 18,000 Chardonnay and Pinot Bianco grape vines were planted in the Ramla Valley Estate in Gozo. The Estate spans over 38 tumoli of land situated in the heart of the Valley. The location of this Estate particularly favours the growth of the noble grape variety, Chardonnay. The hillsides shelter the vines from the long hot summer days and the cool breeze coming from the bay helps the crop to retain its high acidity level.
Antonin Blanc is produced from selected Chardonnay grapes harvested from the Ramla Valley Estate and fermented in new oak barriques for 12 weeks. It is full and round in the mouth with aromas of sweet vanilla and burnt toast that give way to citrus and apple notes on the palate.
